Rotary Transfer Machines (RTM) for precision machining of small parts (such as lock cylinders and bodies, gas valves stems and bodies, small fasteners, electric pins, shafts...) require to be fast, compact, stable, accurate and equipped with high speed spindles. Usually these machines are bar fed or coil fed (or both of them at the same time) and produce parts in few seconds.
Vertical axis suspended table machines, such as the new MICRO-FLEX machine (see also our TRANS-N-CENTER line), have up to 24 stations with up to 3 spindles per station. They are suitable for very complex parts and therefore are equipped with 3-axis spindles and rotating fixtures.
Horizontal axis trunnion machines, such as our TRANS-COIL machines (see also our TRANS-BAR line and our video about CASE STUDIES) have been specifically designed to machine precision turned parts directly from coil. They can be equipped with lathes for complex parts machining (such as automotive shafts).
These high-precision machines are capable of producing millions of parts a year (single and double production versions are available), can be quickly changed over and run unattended for hours, particularly if equipped with a bar feeder or a wire feeder.
