On May 22nd, the awards ceremony for RoboCup 2024 took place at Kilometro Rosso. This event was organized by the Educational team of ABB Robotics Italy, with Buffoli Industries as a technical partner.
The competition, which involved 50 secondary schools from all over Italy, was created with the goal of introducing students to robotics through engaging activities. It was a challenge between schools, featuring quizzes and practical exercises in programming and using ABB RobotStudio software.
The event, now in its sixth edition, was sponsored by Confindustria Bergamo, along with Intellimech, Fondazione Dalmine ETS, Kilometro Rosso, and SIRI, the Italian Association of Robotics and Automation. The initiative is also recognized by the Ministry of Education as an official competition in the scientific-technological field within the "Program for the Enhancement of Excellence."
The Kennedy Institute of Pordenone triumphed, winning for the second consecutive year the “Mario Buffoli” Award for the best project in robotic integration on transfer machines.
