Trans-Bar 55+ is the universal flexible version of the CNC bar transfer machine most prevalent all over the world. Our machine is capable of finishing parts that cannot be finish machined on single or multi-spindle automatics due to their re-clamping and transverse feature requirements. It is able to do so in the shortest possible cycle time. This highly productive machine requires only 30 - 90 minutes for a complete tool changeover making it ideally suited for small batch manufacturing.

Machining bar stock parts on two ends and any one of five sides simultaneously, as well as machining entire external and internal surfaces, is possible on the Trans-Bar 55+ as a result of the following machining spindle configurations:
  • 10 universal horizontal spindles
    (5 on the right and 5 on the left) plus 11 optional spindles for special applications;
  • 5 universal radial spindles (optional for transverse machining and for "rotating part" turning operations).


Buffoli universal spindles (7.5 kW) can be equipped with quick-change machining heads including:

  • Buffoli CNC static turning contouring heads;
  • Compact multi-process modules equipped with up to three tools which include 3 axis positioning and a 0.5 second tool change;
  • Heads for rolling, marking, knurling, broaching and milling.
For a total of 29 tools (9 on the left, 9 on the right, 11 radial) plus further 11 horizontal for special applications.

The part transfer for the first clamping or subsequent re-clamping can occur in different stations by integrated pushers or manipulators.

The machining area is kept perfectly clean with abundant high-pressure coolant system (up to 1000 liters per minute) assuring long tool life, efficient chip evacuation and precise quality.
