The OMNI-FLEX line includes
several very different machining systems. Each system has been designed
as the ideal solution for a broad range of manufacturing challenges. OMNI-FLEX
machines allow the machining of an infinite number of part shapes and configurations
within a broad working area with high-speed chip-to-chip capabilities. They
are ideally suited for the machining of complex parts in small batches.

The OMNI-FLEX
“TRI-CENTER” is a general purpose, flexible machining
solution that minimizes labor, and floor space requirements when compared
with multiple horizontal machining centers;
The OMNI-FLEX
“QUATTRO”is a 4-spindle double machining center
2x5 axis with automatic loading to machine up to six sides of a workpiece
including compound angle machining features. It addresses the machining
of complex, precision components for the automotive, aerospace or precision
part sub-supplier;
The OMNI-FLEX
“MULTI” is a flexible transfer machine equipped
with indexing clamping devices and with patented three-spindle cartridges.
Each one of these three-spindle cartridges houses independent parallel
spindles capable of turning, recessing and single point threading.
OMNI-FLEX “TRI-CENTER”
offers at least 3 times the productivity of a stand alone horizontal machining
center. With minimum tooling, fixturing, and “set-up labor”
costs, it maximizes productivity, flexibility and profit.
OMNI-FLEX
“QUATTRO” is a 6-sided high-speed,
flexible machining system with four integrated spindles and 80 tools working
inside of a 300 mm cube. It is equipped with two universal clamping fixtures
allowing precise compound angle positioning (360,000 positions) with direct
drive motors. This feature allows accurate positioning in
3-dimentional
space. The two clamping fixtures can operate independently allowing double
production (two identical parts at a time) or can automatically transfer
parts from one clamping fixture to the other under precise CNC control for
six-sided, unattended machining.
OMNI-FLEX
“MULTI” a highly flexible
transfer machine equipped with the patented Buffoli spindle cartridges
allowing up to 33 cutting tools. It is suitable for the production of
complex parts in small batches with short cycle times and the widest machining
versatility. Within a 250 or 350 mm machining cube up to 11 tools operate
simultaneously to achieve short cycle times. The complete machining of
6-sided parts is achieved with automated part transfer technology.
OMNI-FLEX machines are
patented by Buffoli and are characterized by maximum flexibility and versatility.
Their features maximize productivity while minimizing labor, tooling and
work holding. They are equipped with Buffoli multi-processing CNC digital
electronics, maintenance help diagnostics which includes digital imaging,
easy WINDOWS based part programming and a fully integrated electronic tool
and power monitoring system.
