Since 1997 BUFFOLI has introduced 3 new flexible machining systems into its production program.
They are four-spindle machining centers with 2x5 axes and two flexible transfer machines.

These machines cover a wide application field, maintaining the typical transfer machine productivity and efficiency while offering even quicker change over times and versatility.


 
The TRANS-N-CENTER line represents those transfer machines designed in order to optimize flexibility and productivity in the machining of wide families of parts, featuring: patented multi-process multi-axis modules with tool change in 0.3-0.6 seconds; static turning heads with Buffoli CNC controlled interpolation, single clamping machining of complex parts thanks to orienting clamping devices or indexing chucks; wide applications field; quick changeover times; transfer machine productivity; simultaneous processing of different parts.


The OMNI-FLEX line is made of two very different universal machining systems. They are ideally suited for the machining of complex parts in small batches machined on 5-6 sides even with compound angles.

The "QUATTRO" version integrates two CNC 5-axis machining modules. Each module is equipped with two machining spindles (for a total of 80 tools available) and a universal clamping fixture with 2 full CNC rotary axes in order to allow machining with any inclination. The two universal chucks can automatically transfer parts one to the other, without human intervention, under precise CNC control for 6-sided unattended machining. The new "MULTI" version is intended for bigger batches offering exceptionally quick cycle times for a universal machine. It is a flexible transfer machine equipped with up to 11 patented multi-spindle multi-axis cartridges. They are suitable for the production of complex parts in small batches with quick cycle times and the widest versatility. Machining cube of 250 or 350 mm (5-sided, 33 tools, possibility of accurate and exceptionally fast single-point threading and static turning).

Customers of ours change over the machine many times/day, running batches of 1,000 - 10,000 parts. The combination of Precision, Productivity and Just in Time production represents the winning solution provided by the Buffoli machines. Non rotating part machining (drilling, milling, and also CNC static turning, threading and profiling) and rotating part machining are integrated into a versatile, precise and highly reliable CNC turning and milling system.


All lines are characterized by BUFFOLI MULTI-PROCESSING CNC, illustrative self-help, easy window based programming and a FULLY INTEGRATED TOOL MONITORING SYSTEM.
