Mr. Edoardo Buffoli

Buffoli's history of commitment to innovation and continuous improvement began in 1961. Today, Buffoli offers the Trans-N-Center, a family of transfer machines that optimize flexibility and productivity in the context of total product quality and production process control (200mm cube).

Trans-N-Center machines feature:
- a wide application field of parts in steel, cast iron, bronze and brass, on one machine;
- changeover times of between 15 and 120 minutes;
- transfer machine productivity, with CNC ball screw reliability;
- simultaneous processing of different parts (i.e. gate body and wedge);
- one clamping machining with programmable chuck orientation;
- programmable spindle inclination and translation;
- multi-process modules with 3-4 axis capability (Buffoli tool heads);
- static turning heads with CNC controlled interpolation capable of single-point turning, threading, grooving and profiling;
- multi-media self-diagnostics and visual help;
- automatic tool wear monitoring and compensation;
- SPC system.

  COMPANY PROFILE
Buffoli has been producing rotary transfer machines since 1958. Since that time, Buffoli has delivered over 600 Machines to a diverse group of customers worldwide. The machines are uniquely capable of producing high volume components requiring multi-side machining from bar stock, forging, casting or blank. Much of Buffoli"s world-wide business is represented by numerous machines operating throughout North America. In 1998, Buffoli expanded its application engineering and customer service capabilities through the appointment as of TPS International Inc., based in Sussex, WI. Both companies offer multi-lingual technical and service skills geared toward the needs of its current and future North American customers.

Buffoli has a strong North American based support starting from proposal engineering and continuing through after warranty service. Machine operation skill is reduced through simple programming and illustrative diagnostics. Strong technical partnerships are developed with customers to achieve desired objectives.

  TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
Rotary transfer machines with either vertical or horizontal axis clamping tables for production from bar, casting forging, blank.

Features
CNC ball screw feeds, extremely fast changeover times, illustrative fault diagnostic software, easy windows based programming, fast index times, high output rates, and a fully integrated tool and power monitoring system.
Applications
High volume part manufacturing requiring multi-side machining from bar stock, casting, forging or blank.

Advantages
High outputs: up to 10,000 parts/hour. Efficiency tools: Self fault diagnostics with illustrative self-help, fully integrated tool and power monitoring software, simple programming. Flexibility: complete changeovers in 15-60 minutes. Machining units: unmatched capability in turning, recessing, threading, facing. Buffoli's efficiency and flexibility features dramatically increase uptimes while Buffoli's loading and manufacturing options significantly increase output. All combine for a faster return on investment.

  TRANS-N-CENTER machines optimize versatility with productivity.

Since 1981, Buffoli is a world specialist in the production of bar machines, with its TRANS-BAR family, for 45mm or 75mm bar size. TRANS-BAR machines are uniquely capable machining parts from bars with the highest output and quickest
changeover times.
